The Vow

So I recently watched the movie The Vow. I loved It! At first when I saw the ending I was like what the heck! I thought she was gonna get her memory back and run to his house and confess her love for him but no it wasn’t your perfect dose of Hollywood fairytale. I was just thinking about it as I was getting ready to go to sleep. It’s not your perfect fairytale ending but it’s still a good ending. Sometimes life is like that too, things don’t turn out the way we want but in the end it has its way of turning around and becoming a really good thing.

things you forget

Today while I was nannying this women a friend of the kids I watch brought her daughter over to play and we were talking and she was telling me about how her Internet was turned off because she couldn’t pay the bill, no way to pay for groceries because she didn’t have a job. 

Here is a list of things we often forget that some people struggle with everyday:

-Not everyone has food in their cupboard 

-Not everyone asks for help when they need it

Someone once asked me…

Yesterday evening a young man asked me why I was always so happy and joyous, he tried to think of every reason where I got my happiness, from a person was is final guess. Actually he asked if it was because I was in a relationship and that’s why I was so happy and I laughed of course… Because happiness doesn’t come from someone else I told him, if you are always relying on someone else’s moods and emotions it will be very hard to function and it will wreck you mentally, I carefully told him that it came from within, my happiness comes from me! It took me a very long time to get this way of course but I am finally happy with myself and my life. And sure Sometimes I may not be happy but I do my best to be okay with where I am at.

Hockey is not just a sport to me anymore, it’s a passion.

Girls are not supposed to play hockey. And some people think it’s really cool and others automatically throw it over their shoulder. It’s really  irritating that women cannot play in the NHL. I hope to one day change that or be able to be apart of the change in the rules. I think that women can play just as well as men if not better.  Girls have goals too, we check as  hard as boys, skate as fast as them, score as good as them. Just because we are girls does not mean we are different than boys on the ice. We skate on the same ice as them, we wear the same skates and helmets as boys, we use the same sticks, so why are we treated differently? We love the game just as much if not more than them, yet we are looked upon as “weak” and “fragile” which is not true. We feel the same pain as boys when we get hit with a puck right where you have no pads. We live and die for the game just as much as they do. Girls have dreams too and I do not know about you but I am not gonna let anyone stand in the way of me and my dream. For me, everytime I get on the freshly cut ice it’s like falling in love over and over again. Hockey is not just a sport to me anymore, it’s a passion.

Crushed

You know that moment when you see that super cute guy (or girl) and everything about them is breathtaking? So then you either ask a friend about them or stalk them on Social Media, or that’s what happens in our society.

So now you have developed a crush… and you’re infatuated with this person but chances are they don’t even know who you are.

Now you like this person… Good job! you will probably never have a chance with this person because they don’t even know you exist. They call it a crush for a reason, it’s because when you find out that they don’t like you back you’re absolutely CRUSHED!

My advice to you is stop being scared, because you have no idea what will happen to you tomorrow, or the next day, or the next! (and if you do please contact me because you must be God) You could very well get hit by a bus, or maybe something random happens, but you don’t know the future. So take it from me, live your life-like you’re dying tomorrow, make the most out of everything you do. Even if you have a crappy job, make the most out of it. Even if you have a crush on a boy/girl MAKE THE MOST OUT OF IT, go over and say hi… trust me it isn’t going to kill you.

YOLO (you only live once) But you actually do, so go out and YOLO it up 🙂
